Meme, meme, it's all about MEME!
May. 19th, 2004 10:30 amC’mon, you know you wanna do it. . . .
1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:
Coraline discovered the door a little while after they moved into the house. Down there it was bright red and moist. But he had known. Your guide, Wandgi, will take you wherever you wish to go. Then she wandered off, following a zigzag path along the border between Life and Death, her tail wagging so hard, the tip of it beat the river into a froth behind her.
(Well, I suppose it could make some sort of sense if I just twisted a couple of pronouns around.)
The books:
1. Coraline by Neil Gaiman
2. Hexwood by Diana Wynne Jones
3. Paragon Lost by Dave Duncan
4. Kingdom of the Golden Dragon by Isabel Allende
5. Abhorsen by Garth Nix.
