Second nudge, same as the first
Mar. 9th, 2008 12:29 pmOkay, I'm off to a nice fundraising start but I still haven't heard from some of you! Herewith the first nag--er, reminder. :-) Um, apologies if you also got an e-mail. I tried to eliminate duplicates but losing that hour has discombobulated me a little!
On Saturday, May 3rd, I'll be participating in the 11th annual Revlon Run/Walk For Women. You can join me in the fight against women's cancers by making a pledge or donation on my behalf. Your pledge will help fund important research into the cause and cure of women's cancers, prevention, education and support service programs.
Last year, with generous help, I raised over $2,200, and our team raised much more than that. There's no team this year, so we're on our own. If you click here, you'll see my fundraising page, where you can donate online if you like. Every little bit you donate will help! Just like previous years, no guilt trips. It's up to you: There is no set donation amount. I am as grateful for your $5 as I am for your $25. 50% of what you donate will be matched by my employer. I'll happily accept cash or cheques (made out to Revlon Run/Walk) as well, so if you'd rather not use the online form we can work around that. :-)
If you'd rather participate than donate funds, come walk with me! All you have to do is go to the main Run/Walk page and follow the directions. They'll charge you $30 to cover administrative fees, a goody bag, and a nifty T-shirt; this is also considered a donation for tax purposes. If you're a cancer survivor, you also get a pretty hat. (Woohoo!) Please think about it.
